Legendary script editor Walter Donohue is the film industry's best kept secret. Over a forty year career he has worked with some of the most distinctive film-makers in the industry, developing scripts with Wim Wenders, Coen Brothers, Wes Anderson, Peter Greenaway, Steven Soderbergh, Sally Potter and Stephen Frears. An editor at Faber and Faber, Walt has also worked with Paul Auster and Hanif Kureishi.

This course is one-off opportunity to have your work shepherded by one of the most connected editors in the business. Whether you're writing a feature script, TV series or novel, Walt will help you find your voice and offer advice about how to get your writing green-lit and/or published. The course will comprise group work and one-to-one sessions, specifically including:

Pre-course engagement to ensure tailored development for each project and writer
Detailed feedback and analysis of your script, characters and narrative structure
Individual one-to-one sessions focused on supporting you to get the most out of your script
Designated writing time geared towards finishing a new draft
Group sessions looking at how to write stories that connect to audiences and excite film-makers
Evening viewings of films made by directors and writers Walter has worked with
Ongoing, flexible support throughout the course
