CAMP Crew | Full time
There are three positions open to come and work at CAMP through our 2024 season (from mid-April until the end of October). Daily jobs include facilitating workshops, assisting the course leaders, moving and setting up equipment, leading treks into the forests and mountains, accompanying groups on field recording or filming expeditions, food preparation, keeping the facilities in good shape and generally helping people out.
Good written and spoken English is essential, and any other languages (particularly French) are very helpful. You need to be able to cook for large numbers of people, and be confident driving a van on mountain roads. We're looking for sociable, positive-minded team players with great people skills and a keen interest in art and music.
Schedule, workload and time off: you'll work in a four week cycle - three weeks work with two days off per week, then a full week off. Accommodation, catering and access to a vehicle is provided throughout your work days and time off.
CAMP Crew positions provide an amazing opportunity to spend time in an idyllic mountain environment, meet some incredible people, learn from every one of our workshops and enrich your own artistic work, long term. If you're interested, send an email (make it detailed, tell us about yourself, your current position and your plans) with your CV to [email protected]
CAMP Location Manager | Full time
CAMP's Location Manager is a Crew Member with more responsibility. As well as the daily jobs and schedule of a Crew Member, you'll be responsible for managing the team, organising staff hours, the rota, coordinating with workshop leaders to arrange specific trips and activities, ensuring that the right equipment and materials are available, and making sure every workshop is as excellent as it can be. The Location Manager is the first stop for any issues, problems or complications during a workshop - we need someone who can think on their feet, manage resources effectively, solve problems and keep things flowing smoothly.
The skills and experience requirements of a Crew Member (driving, cooking, etc) apply here too - but you'll also have experience in managing people, running a team, and monitoring budgets.
If you're interested, send an email (make it detailed, tell us about yourself, your current position and your plans) with your CV to [email protected]
Development Officer | Full time
CAMP is committed to supporting the ongoing creative trajectories of the people who pass through here - every CAMP workshop is intended to be the start of a supporting relationship, rather than a finite experience. After the workshop, we want to support people to progress in their artistic careers; we want to provide opportunities such as exhibitions, releases, publications, touring, networking, and more. We have record labels, a radio station, a gallery and concert venue, and extensive links with other organisations; we want to make these resources available to the people who come to CAMP.
Working full time from home, the Development Officer will be responsible for working with CAMP alumni, discussing their projects, and matching people to our in-house resources. You'll plan exhibitions and performances by CAMP alumni. You'll put releases and publications together and work closely with our distributors and other service providers to get them out. You'll promote work created at CAMP, generate media interest in the artists who pass through here, post DJ mixes and video stories, and help our supported artists get the attention they deserve.
We're looking for someone with great organisational skills, understanding of how record label and events management works, and a track record of carrying out these kinds of projects. Have you ever run a DIY label? Organised concerts or clubnights? Dealt with media promotion, events listings, venue hire, ticketing, tour logistics, media distribution? We want to hear from you!
If you're interested, send an email (make it detailed, tell us about yourself, your current position and your plans) with your CV to [email protected]
Social Media Officer | Part time
There's so much amazing stuff going on at CAMP on a weekly basis - the world's most acclaimed artists, writers, musicians and activists, all gathering in one place to generate new ideas and form new collaborations. We need someone with a demonstrable track record and great energy to get these epic stories out onto our socials. You'll work independently, but in close contact with the core team, gathering media and information for posting.
We're looking for someone with impeccable English copywriting, a solid knowledge of Buffer and other social tools, a thorough understanding of social media communication, and a knowledge/love of the types of art and music we feature.
If you're interested, send an email (make it detailed, tell us about yourself, your current position and your plans) with your CV to [email protected]
